Find a Routine and Stick to It

Find a Routine and Stick to It

One of the most significant aspects of success is the ability to stick to a day-to-day routine, capitalizing on the forward movement.

For example, you aren’t going to wake up one morning and suddenly be a runner. No! You start slow and work your way there.

It’s the little things that add up over time that turn your mindset from, “I don’t know that I can do this,” to, “Yes! I am a runner, and I LOVE it.”

That first time you go for a run, you’ll probably get winded quicker then you’d like, but so what. Tomorrow you are going to make it one step further, and then the next day one day more. Suddenly what was once difficult is just the warmup, and you are running!

Don’t give up. Keep pushing forward. Sure, you’ll have your setbacks. Achy muscles and swollen ankles are part of the process. But we have solutions for those.

Spend some time researching the right stretches. Listen to your body. Dress appropriately and enjoy the distance you can go to today.

Make your workout part of your every day, as routine as brushing your teeth or putting on your shoes. Create systems that work for you, routines that get you out the door and running.

This could mean as soon as you brush your teeth, you put on Crazy Compression socks, lace up your running shoes, fill up your water bottle, and walk out the front door. It’s the routine that gets you to that first step that puts your body on automatic pilot, turning off the excuses.

If you are looking for some extra motivation, try reading Atomic Habits by James Clear. Here are just a few of the things he has to say:

“Never miss twice. If you miss one day, try to get back on track as quickly as possible.”

“Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become.”

“Changes that seem small and unimportant at first will compound into remarkable results if you’re willing to stick with them for years.”

“Over time you will realize that success is less about making good habits easy but about making bad habits hard.”

“You should be far more concerned with your current trajectory than with your current results.”

“Master the habit of showing up. A habit must be established before it can be improved.”

At Crazy Compression, we are here to support you in your goals and the habits you create that lead to achieving them. That’s why we work so hard to create socks that add to the comfort and health of your ankles, feet, and heart.

We’ve got your back. We know you can do this. Now it’s time for you to believe in you and start making time your ally!
